Barrister George O. Akwazie is the Founder of George Akwazie Foundation and a Seasoned Banker, Legal Practitioner, and Chartered Accountant with over three decades of professional experience in finance, law, corporate governance, and strategic leadership. He holds degrees in Business Administration, Law, International Law and Diplomacy, and an MBA from the University of Lagos, and is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Commonwealth Lawyers Association and International Bar Association (IBA).

He is the Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Geomel Group of Companies and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and a Certified Professional Forensic Accountant (ICFA). Barrister George Akwazie has held senior leadership roles in major financial institutions, including Union Bank of Nigeria and Trust Bank of Africa, and has served as a Lead Consultant to Committees of the National Assembly on banking and capital market reforms.

Through George Akwazie Foundation, he channels his lifelong commitment to integrity, service, and nation building into empowering widows, vulnerable families, and underserved communities toward dignity, independence, and sustainable development.
